Open Mic Guidelines

In most of our Old World communities, our traditional painters, poets, and musicians play a central role in our families’ health, wealth, and happiness. Performing artists express our ancient past, our complex present, and our fondest hopes for tomorrow.

Our vision of New Portland restates this revered role in urban American society.

Colored Pencils performing artists can be established or emerging, elders or kids, serious or funny, traditional or hip, homeowners and homeless, our newest neighbors and settled Portlanders.

Sincerity counts above all. Our humanity grows from your contribution. We become a better city. A bigger us.
